Suzzy

Frequently Ask Questions

What if I am afraid of the water?

One of the trademarks of Suzzy's service is the personalized attention you will receive before and during the tour. If you have a problem she will work with you until you are comfortable. She also tows a safety float that is available for support at any time throughout the tour.

Why am I doing this?

To see and experience the hidden beauty of nature veiled beneath the ocean surface (the other 3/4ths of the Earth.)

Why shoreline instead of off a boat?

The main difference is personalized attention. Boats make money by carrying lots of people. Think of the different experience a family of six will have driving to a wilderness area and going for a hike, over a bus load of tourist doing the same thing. Also, some of the best sites are in conservation areas where boats are not allowed.

I've heard I should go to Molokini.

Molokini is one of Hawaii's top snorkel destinations because it is well advertised. This means lots of people go there. So again, it comes down to enjoying personalized attention to your needs rather than competing with dozens of other snorkelers.

Are there sharks?

Yep, there are sharks. The likelyhood of seeing a shark is very small. The most common shark is the "White-tip Reef Shark" which is benign and no danger to snorkelers. If you are lucky enough to see a shark it will probably become one of the highlights of your trip.

What will I see that I can't see by myself?

Well, it is true that you might possibly see the same things without a guide. The difference is personal attention for your safety, and the plethora of information you will receive about what you are seeing. Without Suzzy you will never know what you are missing.
